YZP Series Frequency-Conversion Speed-Regulating Electric Motors for Hoisting and Metallurgical Applications

The YZP series three-phase asynchronous motors are special-purpose three-phase asynchronous motors for frequency conversion speed regulation in lifting and metallurgical applications, developed by our company. Through computer-aided optimization design, they integrate the characteristics of three-phase asynchronous motors for lifting and metallurgy with the advantages of frequency conversion speed regulation. They can achieve constant torque or constant power operation within a wide range, and offer smooth stepless speed regulation. These motors feature high overload capacity, high mechanical strength, and stable operation. They are widely used in transmission devices requiring speed regulation in industries such as lifting, metallurgy, and machine tools, especially in situations where high starting torque is required and frequent starting and speed changes are necessary. They can also be applied to general-purpose mechanical equipment. The installation dimensions of the YZP series of lifting and metallurgical frequency conversion speed regulation three-phase asynchronous motors are consistent with those of the YZR series motors of the same frame size.

Main Technical Performance Characteristics

The YZP series of variable frequency speed control three-phase asynchronous motors for lifting and metallurgical applications have a rated voltage of 380V and a rated frequency of 50Hz. The stator windings of the motors can be connected in Y or Δ configuration and are suitable for variable frequency drive power supply. The rated frequency (base frequency) for each frame size can be customized within the range of 20-50Hz according to customer requirements. The operating characteristics of the motor: constant torque below the base frequency and constant power above the base frequency. The frequency variation range is 5-100Hz. The motor's duty cycle is divided into eight types: S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7, and S9. Orders for S6, S7, and S9 must be negotiated. The motor's rating is based on the intermittent duty cycle S3-40% (i.e., the reference duty cycle is S3, the reference load duration rate is 40%, and each working cycle is 10 minutes). The meanings of each type of duty cycle are detailed on the second page, and the conversion relationship of power under each duty cycle is shown in the table below.

The motor's insulation class is available in two grades: F and H. F-class insulation motors are suitable for environments where the ambient air temperature does not exceed 40°C, while H-class insulation motors are suitable for environments where the ambient temperature does not exceed 60°C.

The motor's enclosure protection class is IP54 and can also be made as IP55. The motor adopts an independent ventilation cooling structure and is equipped with an independent axial fan (centrifugal fan) for forced air cooling (IC416), allowing it to operate for long periods in low-frequency conditions.

Usage Conditions Altitude

Not more than 1000m (if used at an altitude exceeding 1000m, it should be handled in accordance with the provisions of GB755).

Humidity

The monthly average maximum relative humidity in the wettest month is 95%, and the average minimum temperature in that month does not exceed 25℃.

Environment

Class F insulation is applicable to general locations where the ambient air temperature does not exceed 40℃, and Class H insulation is applicable to metallurgical locations where the ambient air temperature does not exceed 60℃. The minimum ambient air temperature is -25℃. Motors of both insulation grades have the same technical parameters (if the motor is specified to be used when the ambient temperature is higher or lower than the above regulations, it should be handled in accordance with the provisions of GB755).
